I hope Microsoft will listen to the users and either implement an option to use the old comment features (Classic Comments) or fix all the many issues that have been reported with Modern Comments. The switch to Modern Comments has frustrated many users and made many users angry. Close to the end of 2021, I still do not see Modern Comments in my version of Microsoft 365.

Personally, I had to install the Insider Beta version of Office on a computer to get access to Modern Comments so I could test it. Modern Comments have not been rolled out to all users yet. Modern Comments work quite differently than comments in Word have been working for years. Microsoft has introduced what they call Modern Comments.
